Photonic Lanterns
Photonic lanterns are a modal converter allowing an adiabatic transition from a few-mode structure to single-mode outputs. Castor Optics' Photonic Lantern line features low losses and compact packaging—ideal for boosting SNR in coherent detection, LiDAR, and space communication systems. Our current offering includes options on mode selectivity, wavelength range, and number of modes (up to 7).
Multimode Fiber Splitters
This product efficiently splits or combines multimode signals with minimal insertion loss, using step-index fibers with core diameters from 50 to 400 µm. It operates bidirectionally and delivers stable, reliable performance across the multimode fiber operating wavelength range. It is ideally suited for multimode light management in optogenetics, sensing, fluorescence detection, and environmental monitoring.
